With years of experience supporting children from infancy to school age in a variety of early learning and family-centred environments across Saskatoon, Saba believes strongly in the power of play and connection. She continues to find joy in seeing the world through children’s eyes and is dedicated to nurturing the growth and well-being of both children and their families, and development through meaningful, relationship-based experiences.
Saba is also a parent of two university-going and one school-age child. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, painting, and spending time with her family.
Yejin Cho
Program Facilitator
Yejin graduated from South Korea's Dongshin University with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Since she was young, she has dreamed of becoming a teacher, which led her to participate in long-term volunteer activities, gaining valuable experience working with children of various ages. Through these experiences, she was able to closely observe how children grow at their own pace and in their unique ways, and she found great fulfillment in supporting their development.
Yejin also finds joy in sparking children's curiosity and watching them explore the world in their own ways as they grow. She is passionate about helping children build confidence in a safe and positive environment, and is eager to use her experience to support them on their journey. She is excited to join the Saskatoon Early Years Family Resource Centre and is looking forward to contributing her passion and experience to support children and their families.
Melina Meshkat
Program Facilitator
Melina completed her Bachelor’s degree in Midwifery from Iran and later earned a Master of Public Health from the University of Saskatchewan. Throughout her academic and professional journey, she has worked closely with families, parents, and infants, which has shaped her strong passion for supporting families during the early years. She is deeply committed to creating welcoming, inclusive, and supportive spaces where families feel connected, respected, and empowered.
Outside of her professional work, Melina has a great passion for art and handicrafts. In her spare time, she enjoys baking and crocheting. She also enjoys sports and outdoor activities that allow her to explore and learn from nature, helping her stay active and balanced.
Melina is excited to be part of the Saskatoon Early Years Family Resource Centre and looks forward to bringing her skills, compassion, and enthusiasm to support families and contribute to a strong, caring community.

She is committed to nurturing growth and supporting young minds. She enjoys dancing and playing basketball, and other ball games with the infants. She believes in the power of play and physical activity to support children’s development and loves combining fun with learning.
